The History of JAMA the CLOWN
The Picture taken above is the very first picture of Jama the Clown. It all began when I was approached by a friend through the PTO and asked to appear as a clown at Mixon Elementary in Ozark AL. It was to be simple enough - all I had to do was pass out a few ballons to the children. I loved it so much, I began making and delivering balloon bouquets to children's birthday parties. From there my career has grown - over the years I added moonwalks, Sno-Kone machines, cotton candy machines, "Dug's Flying Cars" and additional clowns to entertain my special clients. My husband, Mr. Duggles, also got into the act - putting together a clown wagon train and serving as the train conductor.
It is now 19 years after that first appearance of Jama the Clown, and we are still going strong. My clowns and I work throughout the Wiregrass area in Alabama, as well as Florida and Georgia bring our special brand of joy and entertainment to parties, picnics and any other event we are booked to attend.
This is truly a profession that I enjoy as much as those who I perform for, and it has brought me untold satisfaction and a special appreciation for ALL children, young and old!
